Margarida Costa

Born in Vila Nova de Famalicão, she began her musical studies at the Centro de Cultura Musical and later at the Escola Profissional Artística do Vale do Ave, in the class of José Ricardo Reis. In 2015, she was admitted to the Haute École de Musique de Genève, where she completed her bachelor’s degree with Stefan Muhmenthaler and, in 2020, her master’s degree in music pedagogy with the same professor and with Sebastian Bohren. Throughout her training she attended masterclasses with Eliot Lawson, Agustín León Ara, Anni Schanarch, Tatiana Samouil, Chouchane Siranossian, Andrei Mijlin, Arik Braude, Benjamin Braude and Sophie Arbuckle.

She participated actively in the Orchestre Romand de Jeunes Professionnels and the Petit Ensemble de la Romandie. In Portugal, she has collaborated with the Orquestra Gulbenkian, the Orquestra do Norte, the Orquestra de Guimarães, the Orquestra da Costa Atlântica, the Orquestra Clássica do Centro and the Sinfonietta de Braga.
