Born in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Margarida Costa began her musical studies at the Centro de Cultura Musical (CCM), on violin, in the class of Professor Duarte Faria. In the 2011/2012 school year, she was admitted to the Escola Profissional Artística do Vale do Ave (ARTAVE), in the class of Professor José Ricardo Reis. In the 2015/2016 school year, she was admitted to the Haute École de Musique de Genève, where she completed the Bachelor of Arts en Musique, with Professor Stefan Muhmenthaler. In the year 2019/2020 he concluded the Master en Pédagogie Musicale with the same teacher and with Sebastian Bohren.
Margarida attended masterclasses guided by Professors Eliot Lawson, Agustin León Ara, Anni Schanarch, Tatiana Samouil, Chouchane Siranossian, Andrei Mijlin, Arik Braude, Benjamin Braude and Sophie Arbuckle As an orchestra musician he was concertmaster of the ARTAVE Orchestra, participated in the XIII, XIV and XV Internships National of the APROARTE Orchestra and was a member of the Young Portuguese Orchestra.
As an orchestral musician, Margarida actively participated in the Orchestre Romand de Jeunes Professionnels and the Petit Ensemble de la Romandie. More recently, she has collaborated with the Orquestra da Costa Atlântica, the Sinfonietta de Braga, the Orquestra de Guimarães, the Orquestra Clássica do Centro (as a substitute), the Orquestra do Norte (as a substitute), the Gulbenkian Orchestra (as a substitute), and the Orquestra do Norte.
