International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory Anniversary
At the invitation of INL — International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, the Quarteto Euterpe performed as part of the institution’s 20th anniversary celebrations on 28 November 2025 in Braga. The concert formed part of the festivities marking two decades of one of the Iberian Peninsula’s most significant scientific institutions, internationally recognised for its research and development in nanotechnology.
The programme brought together three of Mendelssohn’s Four Pieces for String Quartet Op. 81 — the Tema con Variazioni, the Scherzo and the Capriccio — and Beethoven’s Quartet Op. 18 No. 4, a work documenting the moment at which the composer absorbed and began to transcend the models of the classical tradition, already asserting a voice distinctly his own.
